I read with interest about an IFA who gave stupid advice and what was worst putting him or herself in a stupid position. Here is what I meant:

The IFA recommended the customer to purchase a Group insurance rather then an insurance directly. This is a stupid advice and terrible advice because:

1) Group insurance is non-guaranteed renewable

2) Terms and conditions can be modified at the point of renewal and

3) Subjected to underwriting each year depending on the renewal master contract terms and conditions.

By recommending the customer a Group insurance, the customer cannot transfer risks to the insurer completely. This is a stupid advice and is detrimental to the customer.
