Last Sunday I heard of a family being destroyed due to a major crisis that has stricken the family. While the crisis cannot be avoided, the financial devastation could have COMPLETELY be avoided if the family had done a proper financial plan. I regretted I didn't make myself to be their adviser before the crisis struck. They didn't seem interested to engage me as their financial adviser then. Now the family is in ruins....  My advice to all is that financial plan is not optional. It is a necessity for when crisis struck, there is no mercy, no survivor.
