Hi everybody, I like to invite anyone to ask me questions with regard to investments and life insurance. I will post the answers in this blog. Personal details will be removed. I am doing this to promote financial literacy and awareness over the Internet after realizing the amount of incorrect information out there. Not all questions will have answers ; not all answers will be posted here. If the required answer is too long, I may not post it as well (because I have to work lah!) But I’ll try my best to accommodate everyone. The condition is that the questions must be generic enough for the general internet audience to benefit. For more specific and personalized question, the old-fashion face-face meeting is still required. Just email me your question on the “Contact Me” link on the left menu stating clearly that the answer to the question is meant to be posted in my public blog.

Yong Loong Hin  - Original will cannot be found   |220.255.7.165 |2010-09-18 22:02:56
Hi Wilfred,

My grandmother-in-law had made a will about 30 years back, supposedly to be safekept by my father-in-law. But he could not find if after she passed away and could not remember which legal firm they've made the will with.

Given such scenario, is there any way to trace back the will?

Thanks
Loong Hin

Hi Wilfred,

I have been looking around your site, trying to find information on what should a fresh graduate do to start up on his investment journey, but to no avail.

It would be awesome if you could write a short article on what should a fresh grad look out for, what insurance should he or investment products get within the first year of work.

As of now, im under the impression that i should at least save up to 6 months worth of my monthly pay before trying out anything.

Thanks alot!

Victor.

Thanks wilfred for the extremely fast reply,

I refer to your advice: Do NOT invest a single cent in stocks and unit trusts.Your priority is to build up cash.

By that, how much cash should a fresh graduate build up before even starting to invest, taking into account marriage and property costs as mentioned in your article.

Thanks alot!

Victor

Dear Wilfred,

Regards to your artical on health insurance fro obese.

In the artical, you advise that if previously has been rejected by other insurance company, we should not aplly Avia mysheild as moratoriun underwriting..

Should I then go for a medical health screen, then apply for full medical underwriting?

Is there other insurance company recommended that will accept people with BMI 33, age 38?
