Recently TM Asia Life reduce their premium for their wholelife policy to a jaw dropping amount. As I was preparing a quote for a client's new born baby girl, I almost fainted at the pricing: For a baby girl next age 1 and for sum assured $100,000 that covers death, TPD and critical illness, the premium is $2,411 per year limited to 5 years only. The coverage continues for LIFE. This is a participating whole life plan. It is in my opinion that this is mispricing (positively for the consumer). Consider this: For just 2411*5=$12,055 in total premium the life assured gets a cover for $100,000 for LIFE.
