Due to work commitments, I have been blogging less and have also stopped participating in investment forums. However work commitment is only one reason. Another reason, is because I would like to put more focus in writing for financial magazines. The third reason is also has to do with the quality of some investment forums that either have been badly hit by autobot spams or with “quarrels” that have left the community demoralized. Moreover, I noticed that some strong forum writers have also ceased participating in those forums and have setup their own blogs. Some of these blogs were setup for interest sake and other times to earn advertising revenue. Since blogs tend to be mostly one-way communication, the benefit of interaction in a forum is lost.
