The boss gives you trouble, salary is low, colleagues gossip, customers unreasonable, food prices expensive, MRT overcrowded in the evening, neighbors are noisy, a sickly child, etc. I hear these “troubles” from others’ sharing. Recently I know of someone who was harassed by loan shark after he moved to a new flat. Apparently the previous owner had some trouble with the loan shark. He felt discouraged and has reported to the police.
It has been said that every time we point a finger at others (i.e. putting blame on others), there are four fingers pointing at one self. Very often the trouble comes from self. At times, the trouble with one self is due to a personal weakness that cannot be easily corrected and often impossible to be corrected. Other times it is due to laziness or even ignorance. Last week, I was given a gift which consisted of many motivation phrases. To encourage others, I will be putting up one motivation phrase every Sunday (starting this Sunday) so that people can have a good start before the week begins. I’ve automated the process and hopefully it will work according to schedule. |
