9:30am - Arrived at Changi Airport T2 to meet my client. He is there for an insurance medical checkup and I was there to collect documents as part of further underwriting requirements for the insurance applications that had already been made.
10:30am - Arrived at Tampines SingHealth Policyclinic to buy medicine (I am sick!) by taking a bus from Airport to here. I am delighted that the medication is so cheap. Earned $20 for being cheapo.
11:00am - Eat my lunch at S11.
Then left by taking MRT to Somerset because I want to go to Mount Elizabeth hospital. I got lost!!! Dunno where this place is. Had not been in this hospital for ages and those times when I went there was by car. Finally found the hospital literally at the top of the "mountain"
12:50pm - Arrived at the clinic at Mount Elizabeth Medical Center. I had prearranged with the clinic to collect insurance medical report. The clinic refused to sent the insurance report directly to the insurer because it contain a treatmill report which cannot be photocopied. There were cases in which the treatmill result was lost and since nobody had a photocopy, the poor client had to come back to redo! So I decided to hand carry.
I was too tired (due to the walking to this "mountain"). Decided to use money to help me. Took a taxi to Promiseland.
2:00pm - Arrived at Promiseland (beach road) office. Organized myself and do some paper work. Got a few further underwriting submissions. I submitted the easy ones. For the complicated one, I'll leave it for tomorrow morning since it was not urgent. At the same time, my colleague notebook has a problem generating benefit illustration for Aviva. Tried to help but obviously I am out of touch with technology already. Gave up helping.
Decided to "pack" my bag and check what forms were missing. My bags always contain the most commonly wanted forms like insurance proposer forms and Aviva Myshield and NTUC Enhanced Incomeshield brochures. To lighten my bag, I decided not to carry NTUC Enhanced Incomeshield brochures since I've decided not to sell this policies to my clients (long story, I am very disappointed with Income's standard of service).
Now is the time to do some "homework" for an evening presentation to another client. This will be for investment. Did a brief survey of unit trusts in Singapore. So disappointed unit trusts in Singapore are so lousy. Selected a couple of unit trusts for him and did some data collections and factsheets.
At the same time while doing above, heard from colleagues about the new GE as-charge shield plan. Everybody trying to get hold of the details what this new plan is. I am too busy to join in the fun. Have to go to Woodlands to meet a client already.
5:40pm - Was late by 10 mins at Woodlands to meet an existing client. I was there to show him the conditional letter of acceptance of his insurance applications. Had made detailed discussions with him the previous night over the phone. He accepted the premium loading and at the same time made a small discussion on investment. He said he'll recommend his colleagues to me (I am always too happy to hear that). Half way through, I got a call from someone who wants to seek my advice. Looks like I got another new client. I schedule to call him tomorrow morning.
Now I am really tried. I missed the bus back to Woodlands because i was not paying attention. Managed to hopped in the bus and arrived at Woodlands MRT. I am now going to Choa Chu Kang.
7:10pm - Arrived at Choa Chua Kang MRT and waited there for an existing client. We sat at McDonald's and fill up the forms for Myshield and Myshield Plus. He decided to buy these two policies as I had previously introduced it to him. Also pass him the Asia Lfe policy documents which had already incepted & explained the terms and conditions.
He wanted to know about the disability income insurance. So I explained using technology (i.e. notebook) about the plan which I had prepared. Disability income insurance is a complex insurance and so I had a prepared presentation on this kind of insurance.
He decided he wants to buy. We fill up all transaction forms but as he did not have a cheque with him, I'll hold his application until he sent me the cheque.
10:00pm - Supposed to talk about investment today but we are tired and I am hungry. I left the place and took a taxi home to Tampines.
10:30pm - My cab fare was $20!!! So expensive. But considering I earned $20 for managing to get my medicine at such cheap price earlier in the day, I guess this is OK.
I bathed, ate dinner and collapse to sleep.
1:00am - My daughter got up and started vomitting!! Aiyo, my wife & I had to clean up the mess and I had to bathe her.
2:00am - I cannot sleep despite being too tired. Decide to surf sgfunds.com. Nothing much today and tried to go back to sleep.... Zzzzz |
