I am pretty disappointed with the Sunday Times' article on the evaluation of the 4 portfolio challenge. No, I am not disappointed with the returns of the portfolio but rather the nature of the article is not educational and potentially misleading. Here are the reasons why:

1. There was no mention about the investor's risk appetite.
2. There was no mention about the investor's time horizon.
3. There was  no mention about the investor's ability to take risk

I had feedback from friends that they were disappointed that even the professionals "cannot do it". When I heard that, I find that the article really did a big disfavor to everybody.

Still, the fact that the 4 companies and individuals took up the "challenge" showed that they are indeed immature people. Now, who will really dare to listen to their views if they are immature people?
