Why is Singapore T-Bill so difficult to buy? PDF Print E-mail

It is difficult to buy T-bill issued by Singapore government. To participate in the primary auction, investors have to approach the appointed banks. Unfortunately it can be potentially a hassle to buy T-bills from the banks. To purchase T-bills from the secondary market is easlier but due to the bid-offer spread and brokerage cost, it becomes unattractive.

Will MAS let individuals take part in auctions for treasury bills and govt bonds?
