Relating to an article I wrote What can happen to Sembawang Music Centre will happen to financial advisers, I mentioned about increasing competition and commoditization of financial services. Later on, my managing director introduced to me Dan Sullivan's books. I was shocked when I read these books because I could identify with what he says. A common theme in his books is that financial advisers are "trapped" by many things such as The Commoditization Trap. I found that you can read about it on the Internet from this webpage HERE. I strongly urged all financial advisers to read and think about it.
